From <strong>sailboats<\/strong> to <strong>superyachts,<\/strong> any news in our sector is more than welcome!<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Below we&#8217;ll tell you about some of the <strong>trends in the pleasure-craft arena<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<h3>1. Hybrid boats and electric motors<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hybrid<\/strong> or <strong>100% electric motors<\/strong> are starting to find their place in the <strong>nautical sector<\/strong>. Their advantages include important fuel savings and the obvious benefits in terms of autonomy. However, they are also gaining support from those who want their <strong>sailing<\/strong> to be as eco-friendly as possible. Plus, although initially it may seem like a less affordable option, there are some truly competitive models on the market. Fancy coming over to the ECO side of <strong>sailing?<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3>2. More space on board<\/h3>\n<p>One of the things people ask for most is more space on board. An <strong>expandable beam<\/strong> is a good solution for those looking to get a few extra meters on their <strong>vessel.<\/strong> Once in the water, the sides can be separated from the midsection to make the boat more spacious. At first, fold-out gunwales were the only option, but now they have evolved to integrate the whole <strong>vessel.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3>3. Drinking water instantly<\/h3>\n<p>The sector is evolving and becoming more modern, and old traditions are starting to be left behind. These include stocking a boat with jugs of water. Although it may seem like a costly investment at the beginning, it is quickly recouped if you look at the fuel saved charging the battery or plugging in while in <strong>port.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3>5. More hydro-propelled toys<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In addition to <strong>sailing<\/strong>, the <strong>sea<\/strong> is also a good place to have fun. Jetavation Inc., the company that created the famous <strong>Flyboard,<\/strong> has launched a new toy propelled by jets of water. It&#8217;s called the <strong>Jetovator,<\/strong> a jet pack with a motorcycle seat that can shoot riders 9 metres out of the water at a speed of 40 km\/h and also works underwater. It must be powered by a <strong>high-power aquatic vehicle<\/strong>.
