Eco-Sistems Watermakers will accompany Dídac Costa aboard the IMOCA Open 60 “One Planet One Ocean” for Vendée Globe 2016, the exhilarating solo round-the-world regatta that will begin on 6 November.
As official suppliers for Dídac’s adventure, we’ll equip his sailboat with a Splash-25, the lightest, most durable watermaker on the market. These are both crucial qualities when facing a challenge like the Vendée Globe, in which a mishap can set off a chain of unforeseeable consequences, and are of vital importance to the competition.
Dídac Costa is the fourth Spaniard ever to participate in this regatta, which was first held 27 years ago. The sailor’s top sports milestones include taking fourth place in the Barcelona World Race 2014-2015, a regatta he completed with his co-skipper Aleix Gelabert aboard the Pharmaton, after 98 days at sea.
Now, with the IMOCA Open 60 “One Planet One Ocean”, an 18-metre boat, Dídac will be facing one of the most legendary solo challenges of sailing. It’s a great honour for us to accompany him on this voyage.
